A history of development.
About TruEsteem
Lifelong success through healthy self-awareness
TruEsteem was founded over a decade ago by my mother, Valerie, and my aunt, Cynthia, both passionate educators, counselors, and coaches. Their mission was simple: lifelong success through healthy self-esteem.

They chose the lotus flower as the symbol of TruEsteem because it represents wisdom, authenticity, and growth in unexpected places, all of which are qualities of healthy self-esteem.

When it was time for me to continue TruEsteem, I was inspired by my own development work and the lotus to shift focus to self-awareness. Self-esteem is foundational to internal self-awareness, which Dr. Tasha Eurich defines as understanding our values, passions, and the impact we have on others. But over the last decade, research has revealed that self-awareness also has an external side—how we’re seen by others. Those who are externally self-aware can view themselves through others’ eyes.

Developing both internal and external self-awareness is key to unlocking wisdom, authenticity, and growth. The lotus flower reminds us that these are the true goals of any coaching relationship.

The greatest value you can add is to be more of yourself.

Who am I?
Andrew Krahe, MS
Curiosity fuels me. It is what led me to coaching and encouraged me to pursue a neuroscience-based coaching certification that required over 100 hours of coaching experience. It is why I am certified to administer and interpret multiple assessments and why I use them in the regular flow of coaching work to accelerate development.
